I found the old recipe for what my father called his "Chili Sauce" but always seemed to me to be a type of chutney or relish. The measurements for tomatoes and onions are by size not volume which seems odd but here's the image of the recipe card if anyone is interested. I think the origin goes back to our roots in Yorkshire in late Victorian times...
