@marinheiro@ciberlandia.pt That wasn't a personal attack. It was criticism of a project that will certainly do more harm than good due to the omission of critical safety features or an architecture that supports them.
I’m well aware of who Dave is. I’m also well aware of why the Atom spec was developed, but I won’t get into that here. *That* would be personal attack territory. 😆

@marinheiro@ciberlandia.pt Also, the wonderful thing about a social space like Mastodon is that people can broadcast whatever thoughts they may wish to share. And the equally wonderful thing about it is that if you don’t like those thoughts, you can block/mute/unfollow. But I’m not sure what you’re looking for when you reply, present a false premise about an “attack”, and then go on to imply that “some random person” might somehow be more worthy of criticism than someone with an established reputation. I think valid criticism is an equal opportunity gift.
