the press release announcing the alliance with all the biggest most corrupt companies in the space as founding members, *is* the announcement that they intend to share money, resources, and influence
press releases don’t usually include phrasing like “we invited Palantir because they’re really good at hiding money and doing evil shit”
all of the noise about sharing code is noise. open secure AI doesn’t exist and the companies in the alliance are the fucking worst at doing anything open or secure.
the point is to share money and resources in a way that looks like non-profit work. this is standard corruption.
please grow the fuck up if you need a signed confession from Palantir of all companies or the Linux Foundation that they’re doing the obvious

@zzt@mas.to The best part about neoliberalism is how it pretends to be an Ayn Rand masturbatory fantasy, but in reality involves the creation of oligopolies everywhere that deploy capital in coordination with governments they've wholly captured. Looks a lot like the "state socialism" of the Soviet period, or the "socialism with Chinese characteristics" of the Middle Kingdom, but more corrupt and only a handful of psychotic monsters ever seem to benefit. The invisible hand of the free market at work!
