@Gankra@toot.cat @andnull@social.nouveau.community yeah and it's interesting to me particularly why C ended up with it, since condition-check-after-entering-body is the pattern that is easier to slop out CISCy assembly code for, and now compilers all have to do loop rotation to get that nicer CFG back
