@samhenrigold@hachyderm.io have you tried doing a directed threaded interpreter in the vein of ish https://github.com/ish-app/ish/?tab=readme-ov-file#a-note-on-the-interpreter maybe you could pre-translate the OS binaries into precompiled host code your interpreter can jump into when it sees a call into the os
