Apparently CVS have decided that a medication that was helping me when administered by my orthopedist every 3 months is no longer medically necessary. My doctor has pressed twice for a prior authorization, I just received the second rejection letter.
My knee has only got worse. How is this no longer necessary!?
This month is just too much. I am feeling so defeated.

Saw my knee doctor, he’s writing a stern letter to the Second Level Appeal folks. Sadly he also said I was the only patient he was ever able to get the medication approved for every 3 months over 6. He worries insurance companies have tightened up the approvals further.
