Little Japanese question again. I've been having a bit of trouble with sentences that use subordinate clauses, mostly because of the structure of these sentences and how they feel very different from the standard sentence structure you learn early on. For whatever reason, this past week they have just started making sense, most likely by getting much more exposure to them and also not trying to translate them in my head, which kinda breaks my brain and the structure falls apart when you do that. Or at least it stops making sense that way. At least to me. So I'm just doing some upkeep and I'm going over some simple exercises to not only understand them when I come across them, but to be able to use them myself. In this case, instead of "誰が来るか教えてください。" I said ”誰が来るか教えてくれる？” My question now is, is this grammatically correct? And if so, would it actually be used in real life as well, or am I missing something that gives this sentence a different nuance? Perhaps more casual?
