In 2027 we get 1931 in the US for everything but recorded sound. (For recorded sound, we'll get 1926, which I'll get into later or tomorrow or something) 1931 is a fascinating year for the US. We're in the midst of the great depression, things are bad. But it also puts us firmly in the early days of the modern era of cinema.
