1/🧵I'm a bit over the endless review articles and their fancy diagrams telling us that combining #genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, environmental data and AI will revolutionise plant breeding. No shit Sherlock. Of course integrating all those data streams would generate valuable insights. That was never the challenging part. The real limitation is economics 💸 Many breeding programs already struggle to justify the cost of genomics alone. #PlantBreeding
