@@vosje62@mastodon.nl Not sure what Signal does there, sending users' location to the Evil Empire is something I can't imagine Signal doing... I can share my location in Matrix, I assume that works pretty much like Signal. AFAIK it's the client who downloads the relevant tile(s) to display the coordinates. The tile server shouldn't see the combination of user/device and location. But I may be wrong here... 🤷
