In my state we vote 100% by paper mail-in ballot and it is one of the most secure, traceable, and fraud-resistant ways you could possibly do it. And it’s vastly more fair than in person voting for the disabled, elderly, homebound, just to name a few. Repubs will whine about machines not having a proper paper trail and then shit on literally the most auditable, paper-trail-ful possible way of doing things, which is universal mail-in ballots. I’ve never heard one person here, of any political side, say that they’d rather have a touchscreen backed up by god knows what quality of software in a booth someplace they have to drive to on one certain day so they can stand in line for hours and cross their fingers that their vote registers the way they meant it to.
