@deprecated_ii@poa.st that's why I'm cautious when arguing for this. I can see a few scenarios where that might be the case, specially for high earners and some professions that require mobility, but that is not representative of the bigger part of the population. Also, depends entirely on where you are buying it and what is to come economically wise.

I've met renters that did the math. They go insane when they realize how much they've paid their landlords. $2000 x 12 months x 30 years = $720,000 Is that enough to pay off a mortgage? Hell no. But at least you have something that's worth considerably more than what the tenant ended up with. And if the property hasn't become part of the 'hood, it's value has gone up. And then there's this...
