Many of the organisations don’t even know if they were hacked.. claims spreading like wildfire when nobody even knows what they’re dealing with. They have two IT people. They have PLCs on 4G dongles with no passwords. It’s under resourced and crap. Don’t be worried about Iran, be worried about lack of regulation and central support.

    @GossiTheDog@cyberplace.social This is exactly what I have seen at every manufacturing plant I was at: contractors had cell modems connected to their equipment everywhere. Things that controlled chemical water treatment and refrigeration systems. Sometimes to bypass the company internet directly into the Allen Bradley PLC network. Lots of machines covered by PSM/RMP. Nobody cared.
