First Secretary of State Louise Haigh has said that the Burnham administration will be 'stripping back' public procurement rules to make the only requirements focussed on creating jobs, skills and opportunities in Britain.
You might think,' well less bureaucracy, that's going to be good'; but don't forget what happened last time a Govt. radically reduced public procurement rules, we got the fraud & corruption scandal around PPE in lockdown.
Not the same you? Hmm... we'll see.
