is this patient zero for the idea that vehicles will “simply” coordinate with perfect sensors, self-driving, and communications, and never be hacked or broken or incorrect?
also these things had a target speed of 35 mph, aka more than fast enough to wreck your shit if the obvious happens

This whole thing about the position being transmitted to vehicles to avoid pedestrians kind of implies that pedestrians would be required to wear some sort of device that broadcasts their location in real time. @zzt@mas.to
