Holy fuck!
On 27th of July 2026, BMW put a FULL SCREEN ad on all their cars at startup time for Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026).
Not loan cars or demo, on cars people had already purchased and fully paid for.

@bastardsheep@aus.social > BMW put a FULL SCREEN ad on all their cars at startup time This has been normal on digital TVs for years, it was only a matter of time. If the vendor has root access to your computer and you don't, guess who really owns your computer. Free candy for everyone who answered "the vendor". If they have network access to the thousands of computers they own, they can make them show people ads. If someone will pay them to do that, it's inevitable. (1/2) @bwana@discordian.social

@bastardsheep@aus.social horrible looking cars. Mostly driven by people who care little about other road users in my experience.
