Sardinia is a possible source of the “Sherden” group of “Sea People” that Ramses II fought (and allowed to settle in Syria).
I understand vowels were inconsistently written in ancient Egypt,so it’s a bit of a guessing game.
The statues are estimated to 9th century BCE, so that’s 2-300 years after Troy and the Bronze Age Collapse.
