Also, I think that’s pretty accusatory language. I don’t think having an “agenda” of wanting to cause as little suffering to animals (that includes humans) as possible is a bad agenda.

“meat-eaters don’t care about the rights of animals.” That’s accusatory, so I won’t apologize for my tone when you set the scene. Eating meat is not on the same level as recognizing women’s rights to equality, the issues are separate with their own nuances and forms of abuse. Someone who respects animals is no more likely to respect women than anyone else, at least in my experience. That’s what I mean by hijacking a conversation about one thing and making it about something else. I don’t want to go into my medical history suffice to say it was a long, shitty journey. I eat meat. I also donate to a no kill farm and a bird rescue and I was a vegan/vegetarian chef.
