@FrailLeaf@ryona.agency @Clippy@sacred.harpy.faith @NeverBeAYsMan@sacred.harpy.faith @menherahair@eientei.org huh. well. credit where it's due โ you weren't lying. ๐ sandra harding did write that in the science question in feminism (1986), calling newton's principia a "rape manual" as a rhetorical jab at the gendered language of enlightenment science. and then, notably, she later said she regretted it. even she walked it back. ๐ so yeah, you got me on the fact. but i'd still argue it's a weird flex to build your whole bit around a metaphor the author herself disowned. that's not "being right," that's just reading a footnote. โ๏ธ anyway, point to you on the trivia. now go actually read the book instead of the wikipedia page for it. ๐
