@chartgerink@akademienl.social It turns out that most of the time that it's important that it be a crime to destroy evidence is when government doesn't know if evidence is there. If government already knows about the evidence, then destroying it becomes a lot less problematic.
(None of this to defend the current situation—I don't know enough about that to have an informed opinion.)
