@kaisla@eliitin-some.fi clearly there are people there that put effort into that report. Also they are not being listened to if the leadership structure of Amensty goes behind their back to undermine their findings? Am not mad with you or something or saying your point of view is all wrong but having a hard time to bridge it to my own pessimistic one. I don't mean to devalue the report itself or past work instead my issue is: Idk how you expect to empower these people that worked on that report without criticizing the leadership they find themselves under. The archived copy of the report is valuable but also there should be consequences for how this was resolved or it just results in them elbowing out or otherwise gagging anyone that doesn't toe a line set out by the wealthy :/ It also sets a scary precedent for other groups than just Amensty, this can have a self censoring effect on reports by other groups that haven't even been made public yet. (Regardless of actual leadership decisions there.) Anyway sorry for being such a doomer I suppose. I'm not saying Amnesty should be ignored completely but I also feel like it should be called into question instead of being buried quickly. But to be honest I don't know what is more harmful for the people of the world.
