@tael@yiff.life @davidgerard@circumstances.run I couldn’t tell how long he’d been spending $90k/month for from skimming the article (and I value my mental health too much to read all of it)l but it seemed like maybe a year? Which means he’s spent around a million in total. The games industry is notorious for low pay (and bad working conditions) because people love working on games and are willing to put up with a load of nonsense for the opportunity. He could almost certainly have hired a small and incredibly passionate team to work on the game for less money. And ended up with something actually good (or, at least, not terrible) at the end.
