The AI data center will be the 2nd biggest user of power in NZ, how can any sensible person think that WON'T provide up ward pressure on power prices? (It has in USA)

@ArrestJK@mastodon.nz This YouTube clip about the impact of data centres in the US was a bit of an eye opener for me. There is real and widespread opposition, not to say rage, against the seemingly unchecked building of these massive data centres and the impact they are having on local communities. This rage seems to be across the political spectrum. https://youtu.be/4A6NECilAls
