power management is funky in a way i don't yet have the skills to work out. `halt -p` reboots instead of powering down. `zzz` suspends, but then i can't get the laptop to wake up. `ZZZ` gets the computer ready to hibernate, but then the computer immediately wakes up as if from sleep because of an ACPIEC event

if i wanted to get a serial console from the openbsd kernel, on a machine with no serial port, so i can get debug output while the machine is about to power down or sleep and display, USB, networking, etc. are all already suspended, are there any tricks of the trade to doing that?
