Steam Machine software recommendation (if you have video content you want to play off of the filesystem or local servers): Kodi TV
The default UI (it's themeable) is simple, tasteful, and unobtrusive, and it has been able to play anything I've ever thrown at it without issue, and also conveniently grabs metadata from various online sources.

One of the things that drives me crazy about PS5 is how much of a headache it is to get screenshots or video captures off of the machine... you can awkwardly copy them to a USB device or awkwardly upload them to a small number of supported social networks... Steam Machine... how about ssh? samba? syncthing? some custom script you wrote? Pick your poison!
