@kybermace@poa.st @RealRaul@poa.st >Jomon >brown They are actually the Whiter looking ones, they are depicted as darker toned in a lot of the old art due to being more involved in manual labor, which Yayoi tried harder to avoid preferring to be money and middle men. The Jomon also tended to be physically stronger than their Yayoi counterparts so most nobles preferred them for guards or warriors. Yayoi also tended to live in major cities while Ainu and Jomon lived in the countryside. Go look at historical records, most Samaria were Ainu or Jomon. It pisses off Japanese if you bring it up but Samurai honor culture mostly came from the Ainu whereas Yayoi samurai were glorified bandits. As for Japanese aristocracy it was an odd split, some provinces were entirely one group or another, with Yayoi nobles usually being heavily inbred while Ainu and Jomon less so due to being more socially acceptable for them to marry those lower on the social order. One way to easily tell them apart is that Ainu and Jomon can grow full beards and their women tend to be bustier & more feminine looking while most Yoyoi can can barely grow facial hair and their women tend to be flat and wirey.
