@petrillic@hachyderm.io @bunnie@social.treehouse.systems It sickens me a little to think of how hard I hustled the SMT factory to get the boards built, and the guys who worked overtime to hit our deadline. They did it gladly, and with great alacrity for just a couple hundred bucks. Then I look at the majority cut that Crowd Supply/Mouser commands and their opaque delay on fulfillment. It’s not fair to the workers, it’s not fair to me, and most importantly, it’s not fair to the backers. I have to wonder what other channels could facilitate a project like this. What if @opencollective@mastodon.opencollective.com got into #crowdsourcing? #crowdsupply

@petrillic@hachyderm.io Oh goddammit. What is going on, that every up in scaling of a business creates such murk? PJRC selling Teensy 4.1's through SparkFun generated a lot of noise with Adafruit, and from the outside, it all sounded like personality nonsense. I like crowd supply folk, and I have no projects with them, so no stake here. But it's sad and I hope it works out well. I
