@BobLefridge@mastodon.nz I see The Post's editorial today, aka Hooton, is withering in his assessment of Luxon: "With Winston Peters able to remove Mr Luxon from his job at any time, but Mr Luxon having proven himself unable or unwilling to assert authority in the other direction, the charade is unveiled: it is Mr Peters who is the de facto prime minister and controls the government, and may have done from the moment the coalition agreements were signed on November 24, 2023. Politically, Mr Luxon is completely impotent." I know Hooton can't let the whole Todd Muller debacle go, but he is bang on here. (Sadly the editorial is paywalled so no link, but the paragraph quoted is visible.)
