I live in a rural area with a lot of professional farmers. When I see them in their massive machines driving onto their massive farms I can’t help but think…
do they have any idea that the machines they drive alone are worth more then most people will ever get their hands on, living on a massive farm with multiple building while I can’t even stretch in my home
Farmers are not victims, they are not poor and I don’t have any remorse

@Sustainable2050@mastodon.energy Ofc I understand this isn’t probably all their ‘assets’ and a lot of loans but still that’s a heck of a lot of capital to work with While most of us don’t even qualify for a credit card loan, let alone a few hundred thousand for a machine or more for a farm It’s 2026 and farming isn’t the job of the future, they should accept that
