what pisses off grant writers? - janky ass word processing software -- bonus points if it doesn’t save text because it’s super duper encrypted but key management sucks - not doing what the statement of work obligates you to do. If you tell the funder to kiss your ass because you changed your mind about the deliverables, they won’t give you more money - employing bullies who don’t do the work but cash the checks, so no one is willing to work with your project - not bothering to tell the grant writer/s what you need money for until 72 hours before the deadline on a 40 page application - keeping your budget secret and not providing a budget, disqualifying your organization and wasting the grant writers’ time - not being available on deadline day
