@taedryn@anarres.family Toppits shrinkwrap used to be 70 metres, same box but no price change - just 50 metres. I read the small print under the various prices, here in the EU you have to give the price per kilo, which makes it an interesting experience in seeing the marketing *wool over the eyes* work...

@connynasch@mastodon.social I wish we had a law like that in the US. It's common, but not mandated, for stores to list a price per appropriate unit (volume, weight, count, etc.) on the shelf tag, but they're inconsistent, so one tag will list price per ounce, another for the same product from a different brand will list price per unit or per liquid ounce (which is different from a dry ounce, I want metricization so hard), and so on. Makes a useful feature pretty maddening to attempt to actually use.
