there's many evil things I would do on such evil instance to get on the top 20 defederated instances list: policy that forces posts to your home timeline even if you don't follow that account, and by default prefill it with news channelspolicy that forces notifications of new posts from certain users by e.g. adding mention of the userobviously can't forget about unfollow, block and report notificationseveryone policy that mentions every single user on every single instance when postingpolicy that makes a discover bot follow every new user federated to the serverno incoming deletespublic edit loggermake everything other than direct posts public, and make all accounts searchable and discoverable locally
