@plzupgrademe@fedi.txw.ca Hah, I mentioned BSD Jails and OpenBSD's VM system in the main thread, but not Solaris Zones, which are really worth my time to study in terms of prior art! Frankly, Solaris has a lot of interesting ideas and accomplishments that we're lucky to see trickling into the rest of computing.

@MaddieM4@raphus.social Sorry I missed it, Solaris Zones is really an important piece of prior art here. There are also lovely ex-Sun folks on here who I hope can teach about it. Once you get into the Sun stuff I think ZFS and DTRACE would be interesting then too for you!
