🏴📈🚉 #ScotRail has recorded its busiest week since returning to public ownership, with more than 2.1 million passenger journeys made between 26 July and 1 August.
The rise reflects growing demand for rail travel to events, as well as business, shopping and leisure trips. The record week follows June figures showing more than seven million journeys, up six per cent on the same month in 2025.
Additional services have supported major events including the #Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2026, TRNSMT, concerts at Hampden and Murrayfield, and Glasgow’s Summer Sessions. Extra trains are also planned for the #Edinburgh Festivals.
ScotRail said the figures showed the efforts of its teams and would support its aim of delivering a reliable, safe and greener #railway for #Scotland.
