@CrebboElodie@transfem.social newpipe actually works on smart TVs (if they run Android TV of course) but is a bit wonky with navigation through a remote from what i’ve tested before
also it’s most likely you’ll have to install a file manager, upload the apk to a cloud provider, and then retrieve said apk from the cloud through the file manager (it’s a bit of a mouthful, sorry). or you can just install F-Droid through this method and then get the youtube clients, like newpipe, from there
there’s also just putting the APKs on a flash or hard drive and plugging it into the TV, provided you have any of those lying around

@jadetopaz_95@awawa.club installing F-Droid is probably a good idea. Idk if my TV uses Android TV though, I'm not sure how to check.
