Hanlon’s razor: never attribute to maliciousness that which can be explained by stupidity. With a corallary: never attribute to stupidity that which can be explained by mere ignorance. Also: embrace the impermanence.

“Go with the decision that would make the better story if you had to tell someone about it”* *Keeps me from being stuck at home when I could do something more fun

As a person with adhd, for me it is: “Better make a little progress than none at all.” If i spend even 15 to 30 minutes once every few days, i will eventually get the result, than not doing it at all. Also, spening a lot of time and effort will exhaust me quickly, compared to just 15 to 30 minutes.

Call out bullshit when I see it, regardless of who it’s coming from. It’s served me well enough so far.

for people: start with kindness there will be enough time to give them a hard time, if they suck. also: give them chances to normalise the relationship (but know boundaries!)

I always try to do my best. My “best” changes a lot from day to day - some days it’s all I can do just to make it through. But I think people can see that I care, and that i’m trying. And trying is what matters.

To crush my enemies. See them driven before me and here the lamentations of their women.

It’s cliche as fuck but: Live every day like it’s your last and don’t get hung up on the past It’s not always easy to follow, but after nearly dying before I was 30, I consider my life to be a second chance, a gift that I don’t want to waste. I do still sometimes get hung up on the past, but at least now, I can take a few breaths, think about the BS that almost killed me, and I can move forward with my life.

Everything is temporary until you etch your name in human history.
