@manawyrm@chaos.social This is probably the oldest picture of my computer, from January 2004 (I never cared enough to take pictures of my desktop before that).
I think this is an Athlon XP 2500+, with either 1 or 2 GB RAM, no idea which graphic card (probably GeForce 2MX), Pioneer DVD-ROM, Teac CD-RW, Teac DVD-RW optical drives, 8+40+40GB hard drives (Quantum, IBM, Maxtor), Hansol H530 15″ 1024x768 LCD monitor, Umax Astra 2100 USB scanner (with Via Eden 5000 mini-ITX board resting on it), and yes, the whole computer was built-into the drawers of my desk.

@manawyrm@chaos.social The first computer we had at home was a 286 in '89, and the first one I bought myself was Celeron 450 in '99, but if pictures of those exist, they're somewhere in albums (well, technically the computer in the picture and the one I still use today can be traced all the way back to the one I bought in '99, because I just keep upgrading that piece-by-piece).
