RE: https://supervolcano.angryshark.eu/@AdaraAstin/117029668110280791 I'm seconding this sentiment: every time in a story a (white) man just believes a woman / colored person without whining or naysaying, it stops me in my tracks. It's so unusual, esp. in SFFnal visual adaptations. (It shouldn't, but it is. Thankfully, books and stories are better.)
