Woke up to more white gay men demanding Pride "go back to its roots," by which they seem to mean a tidy parade of respectable gays, not the riot it really was. Meanwhile, they label us "degenerates." Respectability never saved us. Plenty of gay men tried to be the "good ones" in the 1930s. They even ratted out other queer people. The Nazis sent them to the camps anyway. Stop recycling the language and politics that have always failed us. #Pride #LGBTQIA
