@younata@hachyderm.io I think that Nintendo is the only company to handle the limitations of resistive touchscreens well (in the DS/3DS/Wii U), by designing menus and games that recognize those limitations. Pretty much any time I've used a resistive touchscreen from smother manufacturer, it's been frustrating.
I've never been able to spend more than few minutes with a Palm device, though. I gather they also did well?

@GamesMissed@mastodon.social Yeah, I grew up with the DS, and it was fine. Large touch targets helped. I don't remember it having too much issue recognizing input, though. But it's not like one could actually write with it. I've never used a palm device, actually. They also used resistive touch screens, though. I don't know when capacitive touch screens were developed, but they didn't really become common/a thing until the mid 200s, with the original iPhone as (one of?) the first device(s) to have one.
