I met Maui, a service dog (for the past six years) and therapy dog (for two years prior), during my visit to the local botanical gardens today. She is ten years old and I am told she named herself. I am not quite sure how though. All the questions like does she love water or surf board did not seem to elicit the story. She used to love water but they are trying to reacquaint her to water play. No story offered beyond that. I am told she loves people. I noticed she was very attentive to her person. I did ask if I could pet her and also if I could take her pic and post it on Mastodon. #DogsOfMastodon #dog
