@TrueNorthSpice@mastodon.world @markwyner@mas.to Friend had just finished installing a new access control system and fancy cctv system for an Australian Army base. Kind of something you want secure. Finished up, showed them how to use it. "Ok, we need to set up passwords, what do you want to use?" He spent the next hour rejecting everything they suggested. Every was so week or easily guessed. It started with "password"

  • @SuperMoosie@mastodon.au @markwyner@mas.to uhhhhhh😞 Sometimes when I encounter something similar. I ask, "Before going to bed, do you leave the your car on the street, keys in the ignition and the engine running?" Recently I heard someone say they use their first and last name as a password for everything. I thought they were joking, they proved otherwise.
