@nicklockwood@mastodon.social I'm surprised that after all these years, it never leaked internals on how people work there. I imagine some kind of Call Center like a sweatshop or something. Poor guys. Especially since people pump out apps automatically now.

@obrhoff@mastodon.social @nicklockwood@mastodon.social probably you know someone already by not knowing her/his previous career. Back in the day I had a colleague and only after some time we talked about being an app reviewer in her past. Not much fanfare and very muted about details. Probably due to NDA and/or very unspectacular work in the first place.

@obrhoff@mastodon.social @nicklockwood@mastodon.social I met someone a few years ago that used to work in Apple's App Store review team, which I only learned from a co-worker because the person was not even allowed to disclose that to people. When I accidentally mentioned it to someone else, I got shushed. And that was in Germany, where we have, I'd think, more worker friendly laws than in the U.S.
