Of all the trends in cycling, the one I absolutely cannot get my head around is the fashion for loud freehubs. It sounds like you've got a spanner in your spokes, or being chased by a tin of angry bees. A well maintained bike can be completely silent. To glide through the countryside in silence on a bike is one of the greatest pleasures there is. Why would you ruin it with an energy stealing noise maker?!?!?!?!?
