@siracusa@mastodon.social Couldn't agree more about JWZ, although I suspect his supply of people to abuse is not infinite, but probably will last his lifetime. Rarely I'll see a post to his site, read the comments and see that's how he still operates and move on. I doubt very many people new to the field know who is he anymore.
Unfortunately I ruined Technology Connections for myself by following him on Mastodon and discovering his interactions were much the same to my eyes. It appears he's given up on Mastodon since then, but it's hard to unsee in the videos now.

@siracusa@mastodon.social I figured there was a 50/50 chance my 21yo son would know who he was, so I asked him. He said “Is that the guy that blocks HN links to his site, or is that the other guy?” So doesn't really have any idea why JWZ is internet famous, but is familiar for unrelated reasons.
