And while there's still lot's of work to be done, the plan is to build up a public repo (currently at https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/camera/tuning/) with raw data so people can: 1. contribute capture data for more sensors 2. create tunings from the data according to their preferences - I'm being told that most vendors these days try to make their cameras look similar to iPhones while people might prefer e.g. a more "scientifically correct" output or something else entirely
