@GossiTheDog@cyberplace.social @SwiftOnSecurity@infosec.exchange The final paragraph of that article is wrong. If I remember correctly, Linux has such an identifier, too - only it's much easier to re-generate it there.
So, basically, if you're going to do naughty things (tm), use TAILS - not your operating system, be it Windows, MacOS, Linux, or whatever.

@bontchev@infosec.exchange @SwiftOnSecurity@infosec.exchange no idea where you've got that from. If you use something like Ubuntu and do apt-get, it doesn't transmit a GUID centrally.
