When we talk about solving climate change what they hear is akin to as if we would’ve said “Oh, why do you need doors or windows? Just walk through the walls with ghost powers” or “Why do you need stairs? Just stride up the clouds”. That is how deep their programming goes. They’re living in a completely cart-before-horse world where the economy as it currently works today is seen as the prereq for any kind of changes.
