(the other side of this is that LLMs are always hungry for more data, particularly from open source projects, so even though many of the business idiots are too myopic to frame it this exact way, the goal is for *enough* of the fired people to keep feeding the machine for free under the business edict "well it ain't MY business expense anymore." It's outsourcing to the free version of the people you put out on the street. It strikes me that the rationale for the guillotine was that it was the most *humane* way to execute the rich and their sympathizers, and we're not obligated to make that mistake again)
