While the day started out cool, the hot sun quickly warmed up the landscape and the hikers. We took full advantage of the shady portions of the hike, such as this tree-covered road on the far end of our loop. Not terrible conditions as far as summer hiking goes here, but we're greatly looking forward to fall to arrive!
